    Valoración de la prueba de ADN en las identificaciones a gran escala de personas desaparecidas

    RESUMEN: El presente trabajo de investigación se basa en el Teorema de Bayes utilizado en casos de identificación de víctimas en grandes escalas, las cuales son causadas por diferentes accidentes o atentados, dejando así una gran cantidad de víctimas sin ningún tipo de identificación. Por eso, en el ámbito de la medicina forense se utilizan distintos softwares los cuales son de gran utilidad a la hora de emparejar a las víctimas con sus respectivas familias. OBJETIVOS. Analizar la efectividad de la prueba de ADN en la identificación de personas desaparecidas a gran escala, destacando su impacto en la resolución de casos y en el cierre emocional de las familias afectadas. METODOLOGÍA. Según el análisis y el alcance de la investigación es descriptivo, porque el propósito principal es describir la utilidad del teorema de Bayes y la manera en la cual se aplica en el campo de la genética forense. ABSTRACT: The present research work is based on Bayes' Theorem used in cases of identification of victims on large scales, which are caused by different accidents or attacks, thus leaving a large number of victims without any type of identification. For this reason, in the field of forensic medicine, different software is used which is very useful when matching victims with their respective families. OBJETIVES. Analyze the effectiveness of DNA testing in identifying missing persons on a large scale, highlighting its impact on the resolution of cases and the emotional closure of affected families. METHODOLOGY. According to the analysis and scope of the research, it is descriptive, because the main purpose is to describe the usefulness of Bayes' theorem and the way in which it is applied in the field of forensic genetics.
