    COMPARACIÓN ENTRE EL TRABAJO LITERARIO DEL MODERNISMO LATINOAMERICANO Y LA GENERACIÓN DEL 98

Resumen: En la España de finales del siglo XIX, la inestabilidad política y la pérdida de sus últimas colonias crearon un ambiente caótico que influyó en la Generación del 98, un grupo literario que abordó temas de regeneración y crítica social. La figura central de este movimiento fue Miguel de Unamuno, quien exploró la paradoja de la religión y la búsqueda de la inmortalidad humana. Paralelamente, el modernismo latinoamericano, iniciado por Rubén Darío, destacó por su refinamiento estético y búsqueda de la musicalidad en el lenguaje, reflejando una reacción contra el positivismo europeo y una atracción por la poesía francesa. Antonio Machado, miembro destacado de la Generación del 98, en su obra Campos de Castilla refleja la realidad social y la naturaleza de Castilla con una preocupación filosófica y existencial, diferenciándose del estilo decorativo y simbólico del modernismo de Darío. Ambos movimientos, aunque distintos en su enfoque y estilo, marcaron profundamente la literatura hispanoamericana y española dejando un legado duradero en la poesía y el pensamiento crítico. 1.1 Abstract: In late 19th century Spain, political instability and the loss of its last colonies created a chaotic environment that influenced the Generation of '98, a literary group that addressed themes of regeneration and social criticism. The central figure of this movement was Miguel de Unamuno, who explored the paradox of religion and the search for human immortality. At the same time, 9 Latin American modernism, initiated by Rubén Darío, stood out for its aesthetic refinement and search for musicality in language, reflecting a reaction against European positivism and an attraction to French poetry. Antonio Machado, a prominent member of the Generation of '98, in his work Campos de Castilla reflects the social reality and nature of Castile with a philosophical and existential interest, differing from the decorative and symbolic style of Darío's modernism. Both movements, although different in their approach and style, profoundly marked Spanish-American and Spanish literature, leaving a lasting legacy in poetry and critical thought.
