    Relación entre adicción a la red social facebook y autoestima en los estudiantes de primer año del Instituto Nacional de Jucuapa, en el período febrero-agosto de 2019

    RESUMEN: El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue establecer la relación que existe entre Adicción a la Red Social Facebook y Autoestima en los estudiantes de primer año del Instituto Nacional de Jucuapa en el periodo de febrero- agosto de 2019; la investigación se realizó con base metodológica cuantitativa correlacional con una muestra de 210 alumnos de primer año de bachillerato, a quienes se les aplicó dos test psicológicos, el primero fue la Escala de Adicción de Bergen (BFAS) para medir la variable Adicción a la red social Facebook y el segundo fue el Inventario de Autoestima de Coopersmith (IAC) para medir la variable de Autoestima, los cuales permitieron recolectar los datos y medir las dos variables para efectuar la correlación correspondiente, luego del análisis de resultados y comprobación de hipótesis, se concluye que no existe relación significativa entre adicción a la red social Facebook y los niveles de Autoestima en los estudiantes de primer año del Instituto Nacional de Jucuapa, en el periodo de febrero-agosto de 2019 (p>0.05 y rs= -0.25, correlación negativa baja no significativa). ABSTRACT: The investigation aimed to know the relationship between addiction to Social Network Facebook and self-esteem in a High School first year students at Instituto Nacional de Jucuapa during the months of February to august in 2019. The methodology was quantitative, of correlational type, the sample was 210 students, to whom were applied two psychological tests. The first test applied was the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale (BFAS), to measure Facebook addiction. The second test was the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI), to measure their self-esteem. After analyzing and testing hypothesis, it was concluded there is not exist significant relationship between the Social Network Facebook and the self-esteem levels in the High School first year students at Instituto Nacional de Jucuapa. (p>0.05 y rs= -0.25, not significant, low negative correlation).
