dc.description.abstractEn esta investigación se explora si existe brecha digital de género sobre el acceso, uso y dominio de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) y como se manifiesta en las estudiantes de bachillerato de Complejo Educativo Católico “Santa Teresita”. La brecha digital de género es la desigualdad que existe entre hombres y mujeres en el acceso, uso y dominio de las TIC y que afecta el desarrollo de las niñas y mujeres en el ámbito tecnológico. Los hallazgos de este estudio permiten analizar como repercute la brecha digital de género en las estudiantes y las barreras que enfrentan y limitan su participación en las tecnologías digitales y en las carreras STEM. This investigation explores if there is a gender gap in Communication Technologies (ICT), access and use and mastery of information and communication technologies and how this gets developed by high school level students in "Santa Teresita" School , the gender gap in Communication Technologies (ICT) is the social inequality that exists between man and woman regarding the access, use and master of Communication Technologies (ICT) which in some cases, it affects young and adult females in a tech-environment. The result and findings for this study allows to analyze how this affects students and all the challenges that this face and restrict all participants in digital technology and "ESTEM" careers.
