Item Principales neumopatias fúngicas asociadas a VIH/sida en usuarios de la micro red intermunicipal de Berlín, Usulután, año 2011(2011-01-01) Díaz Hernández, Oscar Enríque; Somoza de Beltran, Zoila Esperanza; Alfaro Machuca, Juan RenéLa investigación se llevó a cabo en la población de usuarios con VIH/SIDA que consultaron en la Micro Red Intermunicipal de Berlín, Usulután, y consistió en investigar Neumopatías Fúngicas y para dicho estudio se tomaron muestras de esputo, que cumpliera con los criterios de inclusión, durante los meses de agosto a octubre de 2011. Las cuales se obtuvieron en el usuario, tosiendo profundamente y expulsando el material que viene de los pulmones dentro de un envase estéril, luego se realizó la Baciloscopía y el examen directo con KOH, coloreado con Giemsa para observar la presencia de levaduras, hifas o esporas de hongos. La investigación es de tipo descriptiva porque se tomaron en cuenta los datos a través de la observación, la confirmación del diagnóstico y exámenes de laboratorio para determinar las principales neumopatías fúngicas, es prospectiva por estar orientada al conocimiento de una causa como es la inmunosupresión y el efecto que produce en ellos una neumopatía; es transversal por haberse realizado en un periodo corto y de campo ya que se utilizaron diferentes técnicas como la observación y coloración de Giemsa y Ziehl-Neelsen. Se obtuvieron los siguientes resultados: de los 23 (100 %) de usuarios con VIH/SIDA que consultaron por problemas respiratorios, 11 (47.84%) resultaron positivos a los siguientes hongos: Candida albicans y Aspergillus fumigatus. Se concluye que el sexo, edad y ocupación son factores relacionados con el aparecimiento de las Neumopatías Fúngicas, el cual por no realizar un adecuado diagnóstico y tratamiento según el protocolo del programa de VIH/SIDA complica las condiciones de vida y predispone al fallecimiento temprano de los usuarios
