dc.description.abstractResumen. Introducción. La colecistectomía laparoscópica implica diversos factores de riesgo implícitos en la realización del procedimiento, los cuales se ven influidos por aspectos pro-pios del paciente y otros relacionados con quien realiza la cirugía. Objetivo. Determinar las complicaciones de los pacientes colecistectomizados por vía laparoscópica que han sido programados de forma electiva en el Hospital San Juan de Dios de San Miguel comprendi-dos en el periodo de Junio de 2022 a Junio 2023. Metodología. El estudio realizado es de tipo descriptivo, de corte trasversal, retrospectivo. Resultados. Se incluyó una muestra de 76 pacientes en los cuales ninguno de ellos tuvo complicaciones postquirúrgicas posterior a colecistectomía videolaparoscópica. Conclusión. Las cirugías de carácter electivo cum-plen los estándares para la prevención de complicaciones postquirúrgicas preparando de manera adecuada a los pacientes en el prequirúrgico para obtener los mejores resultados en el procedimiento al cual serán sometidos. Abstract Introduction. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy involves several risk factors im-plicit in the performance of the procedure, which are influenced by aspects of the patient and others related to the person performing the surgery. Objective. To deter-mine the complications of laparoscopic cholecystectomy patients who have been electively scheduled at the San Juan de Dios Hospital in San Miguel from June 2022 to June 2023. Methodology. The study carried out is descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective. Results. A sample of 76 patients was included, none of whom had postoperative complications after videolaparoscopic cholecystectomy. Conclusion. Elective surgeries meet the standards for the prevention of post-surgical complica-tions by adequately preparing patients in the pre-surgical period to obtain the best results in the procedure to which they will be subjected.
