In our country, the University of El Salvador, as an institution of tertiary education, is being affected by the subject failing phenomenon. In accordance to a research done in this university about “Rendimiento de la Educación Universitaria” (1992), the academic failure at the University of El Salvador included students’ subject failure and attrition. This study shows the subjects of the different schools that overpass the 50% of subject failures are the ones referred to the areas of Chemistry, Mathematics, and Statistics.es
