dc.description.abstractRESUMEN: En los proyectos de construcción, el control del tiempo es fundamental, por lo que aprender el manejo de herramientas como Navisworks y Excel ofrece ventajas no solo en el ámbito académico sino también prepara a los futuros profesionales para enfrentar con mayor capacidad los desafíos del mundo laboral. Este articulo tiene como principal objetivo evaluar y dar a conocer los beneficios que tendría la integración de Navisworks complementado con Excel en la formación académica, y el nivel de conocimiento que actualmente poseen los alumnos desde tercer a quinto año de la carrera de arquitectura sobre estos programas. Navisworks es una aplicación de software desarrollada por Autodesk que se utiliza para la revisión de modelos 3D; Excel es una herramienta de hojas de cálculo muy eficaz para obtener información de forma ordenada a partir de grandes cantidades de datos. Se ha adoptado una metodología con enfoque cuantitativo y recopilando datos a través de una encuesta para poder obtener los resultados que son la base de este artículo. En conclusión, saber el nivel de conocimiento que poseen los estudiantes permitirá poder adaptar el plan de estudio de acuerdo con sus necesidades, así como también demostrar que conocer ambos programas y su beneficio en la aplicación en proyectos arquitectónicos y su integración en el programa educativo permitirá a los estudiantes tener el conocimiento previo para desarrollar proyectos reales con mayor eficiencia. ABSTRACT: In construction projects, time management is crucial, so learning to use tools such as Navisworks and Excel offers advantages not only in the academic field but also prepares future professionals to face the challenges of the work world more effectively. This article aims to evaluate and present the benefits of integrating Navisworks with Excel in academic training, and to assess the current level of knowledge of these programs among third- to fifth-year architecture students. Navisworks is a software application developed by Autodesk used for reviewing 3D models; Excel is a highly effective spreadsheet tool for organizing information from large amounts of data. This article aims to evaluate how integrating Navisworks and Excel contributes to the planning of architectural projects, highlighting the benefits of practical application in academic training and fostering interest in using Navisworks Manage among architecture students. A quantitative methodology was adopted, collecting data through a survey to obtain the results that form the basis of this article. In conclusion, understanding students' current level of knowledge will allow for the curriculum to be tailored to their needs. Furthermore, it demonstrates that familiarity with both programs and their benefits in architectural projects, as well as their integration into the educational program, will provide students with the necessary background knowledge to develop real-world projects more efficiently.
