Resumen La zona periurbana Facultad Multidisciplinaria Oriental, Universidad de El Salvador, se ubica dentro del municipio de San Miguel, Ciudad de San Miguel, donde se observa una clara Transición, de lo rural hacia lo urbano. En esta investigación, nos centramos principalmente en las poblaciones de macrohongos, que forman un cuerpo fructífero de la división Ascomycota y Basidiomycota. La evaluación de la diversidad fúngica, se realizó mediante la recolección de las morfoespecies visibles y destacadas mediante el muestreo oportunista. Se realizaron 10 muestreos, entre los meses de julio a octubre del 2023 durante la época lluviosa, donde se observaron, identificaron y registraron 62 morfoespecies, de las cuales 7 pertenecen a la división Ascomycota y 55 de la división Basidiomycota. Además, se registraron 25 familias diferentes con un total de 1,355 carpóforos. Como nuevos aportes para la diversidad de macrohongos de El Salvador, se presentan 7 nuevos registros, 2 de la división Ascomycota y 5 de la división Basidiomycota los cuales son Hypomyces samuelsii, Ophiocordyceps sobolifera, Auricularia angiospermarum, Auricularia brasiliana, Cantharocybe brunneovelutina, Gymnopilus luteofolius y Lysurus periphragmoides, respectivamente. Los resultados muestran que la zona periurbana de la Facultad Multidisciplinaria Oriental, de la Universidad de El Salvador, es muy diversa, ya que el Índice de Margalef lo sitúa en un 8.4, según su escala. Las temperaturas oscilaron entre los 26º C y los 32º C y la abundante materia orgánica permiten que se tenga este resultado ya que unido a la humedad (63% a 83%), favorecen el desarrollo de los macrohongos. Abstract The peri-urban area of the Eastern Multidisciplinary Faculty, University of El Salvador, is located within the municipality of San Miguel, City of San Miguel, where a clear transition from rural to urban areas can be observed. In this research, we focused primarily on populations of macrofungi, which form fruiting bodies in the divisions Ascomycota and Basidiomycota. Fungal diversity was assessed by collecting visible and prominent morphospecies using opportunistic sampling. Ten samplings were carried out between the months of July and October 2023 during the rainy season, where 62 morphospecies were observed, identified and recorded, of which 7 belong to the Ascomycota division and 55 to the Basidiomycota division. In addition, 25 different families with a total of 1,355 carpophores were recorded. As new contributions to the diversity of macrofungi in El Salvador, 7 new records are presented, 2 from the Ascomycota division and 5 from the Basidiomycota division, which are Hypomyces samuelsii, Ophiocordyceps sobolifera, Auricularia angiospermarum, Auricularia brasiliana, Cantharocybe brunneovelutina, Gymnopilus luteofolius and Lysurus periphragmoides, respectively.
