dc.description.abstractDuring the last twenty years higher education has increased its demand and based on that demand a variety of majors have been created. Nowadays, some people are looking for a higher academic preparation based on the fact that there are people better prepared than others. It means that having a high school preparation is not enough to find a highly paid job. However, sometimes experience weighs more than having a higher education diploma. That is why there is a majority of high school students who want to complete their academic preparation by studying at a university. This number of people has caused a diversity of careers to be created so that students have more options of majors to select what to study. Moreover, higher education not only gives preparation in the studied areas, but also prepares students to contribute with their knowledge to improve the development of a country by providing ideas and working hard to diminish social inequality. Higher education finds itself in a world where people lack of culture and economic poverty exists. In our country, many people may never fully participate in society because they do not have the means to cope with the establishment nor do they have any passport to it. In this essay, there are some main points that have been considered.es
