Abstract
La Universidad de El Salvador busca mejorar los procesos, métodos y técnicas brindando nuevas oportunidades de aprendizaje a los estudiantes. Por tanto, se implementó la modalidad de clases online de forma obligatoria debido a la situación sanitaria durante el año 2020, manteniendo esta modalidad vigente hasta el año 2023 donde no ha ocurrido la integración de los estudiantes a la modalidad presencial en totalidad, si no a menor escala en las diferentes facultades académicas; la observación de los registros de asistencia de los estudiantes, permitió identificar las faltas y actividades entregadas fuera de tiempo, generando la necesidad de conocer los factores del ausentismo en los estudiantes de primer y tercer año de ingeniería Agroindustrial modalidad semi presencial de la Facultad de Ciencias Agronómicas. Por consiguiente, el estudio es de corte cualitativo, describiendo la situación del objeto de estudio por el método fenomenológico inductivo, registrando las experiencias de diez estudiantes con alta ausencia. Además, las perspectivas de docentes responsables de las asignaturas de primer y tercer año de la carrera Agroindustrial modalidad semipresencial a través de la técnica de la entrevista y el muestreo no probabilístico; los resultados obtenidos se visibiliza los factores tecnológicos, económico, condición laboral, la familia, salud física y mental.
The University of El Salvador seeks to improve processes, methods, and techniques by providing new learning opportunities for students. Therefore, the mandatory online classes modality was implemented due to the health situation during the year 2020, and this modality is still in effect until 2023 when there has not been a complete integration of students into the face-to-face modality, but rather on a smaller scale in different academic faculties. Observing the attendance records of students allowed for the identification of absences and late submissions of activities, generating the need to understand the factors of absenteeism in first and third-year students of the Agroindustrial Engineering program in the semi-face-to-face modality of the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences.
Consequently, the study is qualitative, describing the situation of the object of study through the inductive phenomenological method, recording the experiences of ten students with high absence rates. In addition, the perspectives of responsible teachers of the subjects in the first and third year of the Agroindustrial Engineering program in the semi-face-to-face modality are collected through the interview technique and non-probabilistic sampling. The obtained results reveal technological, economic, work-related, family, physical, and mental health factors.
