Abstract

Nowadays, translation is an important element for communicating information from one language to another, thus facilitating communication and interaction between people who speak different languages. This work focuses merely on detailing the process of translation and demonstrating the techniques that can be applied in different translation jobs, such as in short texts, paragraphs, essays, internet articles or images that include text. In addition, it demonstrates the best fundamental processes to follow in order to achieve the desired effective result for the translator and for the future client who needs a document from English to Spanish or vice versa. This report also gives direction to the use of translation tools which help us extensively to speed up the translation process, Cat tools such as Matecat that ease a lot of work when making the best possible use of it, Photo Editor, one important tool that helps immensely editing images and so on. In addition, it shows the outcomes obtained during the whole process, the different works that have been developed using the strategies and processes in each of the assigned tasks that leads to becoming great translators.
