    La literatura salvadoreña en comparación con la literatura nicaragüense

    Resumen El presente análisis comparativo indaga en las profundidades de los cuentos «De pesca», de Salvador Salazar Arrué, y «El fardo», de Rubén Darío, con el objetivo de analizar las intersecciones entre la literatura y la sociedad. A través de una profunda lectura de ambos cuentos, se evidencia cómo estos relatos, aunque anclados en contextos históricos y culturales diferentes, presentan ciertas similitudes como la interacción con la naturaleza, el reflejo de la pobreza en los personajes y una tragedia que termina en muerte. Si bien ambos autores son grandes representantes de cada país y a través de la lectura de sus cuentos se puede adentrar al pasado y así, en este análisis comparativo se puede mostrar cada uno de los puntos importantes y así al comparar estos cuentos se abre un espacio para reflexionar sobre la literatura y la historia, también sobre el papel de la literatura en la construcción de la identidad nacional. Además, este artículo pretende contribuir al campo de los estudios literarios comparados al ofrecer una perspectiva diferente sobre la literatura de El Salvador y Nicaragua. Abstract: This comparative analysis delves into the depths of the short stories "De pesca" (Fishing) by “Salvador Salazar Arrué” (Salarrué) and "El fardo" (The Bundle) by “Rubén Darío”, aiming to examine the intersections between literature and society. Through a deep reading of both stories, it becomes evident how these narratives, although rooted in different historical and cultural contexts, present certain similarities such as the interaction with nature, the reflection of poverty in the characters, and a tragedy culminating in death. While both authors are great representatives of their respective countries, reading their stories allows us to delve into the past. This comparative analysis showcases the key points of each story, and by comparing them, a space is opened for reflection on literature and history, as well as on the role of literature in constructing national identity. Furthermore, this article seeks to contribute to the field of comparative literary studies by offering a different perspective on the literature of El Salvador and Nicaragua.

    SEMEJANZAS EN LA LITERATURA GAUCHESCA Y LITERATURA COSTUMBRISTA SALVADOREÑA: MARTÍN FIERRO Y CUENTOS DE BARRO

    Resumen El trabajo que se presenta a continuación establece semejanzas entre dos subgéneros literarios muy característicos de mucha relevancia en la región latinoamericana, siendo estos la literatura gauchesca y costumbrista salvadoreña, surgidos en la zona rioplatense, que forma parte de Argentina y Uruguay y las zonas rurales de El Salvador, respectivamente. Se ha tomado una de las obras más representativas por cada literatura; en cuanto a la gauchesca, se ha analizado Martín Fierro, mientras que, para el costumbrismo, Cuentos de barro empleando la literatura aplicada, con la cual se interrelacionan dos o más literaturas a través de temáticas comunes, influencia en la sociedad, entre otros aspectos muy esenciales. La presente comparativa ofrece la descripción y similitudes de estas dos importantes literaturas antes mencionadas, tomando en cuenta que estas no solo cumplen con la función de deleitar, sino también, plasman una época, el entorno histórico, resaltando costumbres e injusticias vividas del pueblo de cada región. Asimismo, ambas representan una crítica social y el reconocimiento de lo autóctono. Abstract The following work outlines the similarities between two literary subgenres that are highly characteristic and relevant in the Latin American region: the gauchesque literature and Salvadoran costumbrist literature. These subgenres originated in the Río de la Plata region, which encompasses parts of Argentina and Uruguay, and the rural areas of El Salvador, respectively. One of the most representative works from each literary tradition has been selected for analysis: Martín Fierro for gauchesque literature and Cuentos de barro for Salvadoran costumbrist literature. This comparative study employs applied literature to interrelate two or more literatures through common themes, societal influences, and other essential aspects. The comparison provides a description and highlights the similarities between these two significant literary traditions. It considers that they not only serve to entertain but also capture a particular era and historical context, emphasizing the customs and injustices experienced by the people of each region. Both represent a social critique and the recognition of local characteristics.
