Por otro lado, los encargados de elaborar los documentos que narran los acontecimientos de nuestra patria lo han hecho desde su punto de vista, es decir, desde el ángulo del cual fueron espectadores o bien, basados en los principios ideológicos que profesan.
9th grade student motivation to learn EFL at C.E. INSA

The researchers conducted the project 9th grade student motivation to learn EFL at C.E INSA to describe the type of motivation 9th grade students had towards learning EFL; thus, the researchers analyzed whether and to what degree a relationship between the variables existed. To carry out this research, a study was developed under the qualitative paradigm. Besides, the study provides reliable and meaningful data of the population that was studied and the type-level of motivation they had toward learning EFL. The researchers developed a descriptive study in order to explore and describe the type of motivation students had every time they were exposed to learn EFL.

The qualitative research study “A Communicative English Course Design for Children among the Ages of 6 - 12 Using Howard Gardner Multiple Intelligences Theory” at the Western Multidisciplinary Campus of the University of El Salvador builds on the necessity to design an English course syllabus and select an appropriate textbook to support EFL teachers in the English Extension Program. This qualitative study will help EFL teachers guide the instruction successfully in order to make children learn the target language through the application of Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences.

The following qualitative study centers on the importance of the use of multimedia in EFL/ESL teaching in contrast with the lack of the use of technological devices in the high school English classes. Therefore, the researchers’ inquired how activities that are carried out through the use of technology could help teachers and students achieve their goals as dealers of the language.

The investigators selected a target population of 17 students to carry out this hypothetic-deductive study. The researchers elaborated and administered an English language proficiency test, which was validated before its administration. Also, they crafted evaluation tools such as rubrics and checklists to assess the students’ outcomes in the proficiency test.Through these tools, the investigators found that students’ overall results in the English language proficiency test situate them in the developing proficiency category. Moreover, they discovered that students’ results show that their asset is the oral skill and that their challenges reside in the listening, reading and writing skills. In addition, they verified the benefits of administering an assessment tool to measure the students’ English language proficiency.

Learning a second language is so difficult for beginners because as in the mother tongue, students are required to develop the four macro-skills to interact among others. Therefore, it is necessary to create an appropriate classroom environment using the latest strategies, methodologies and techniques to help students boost their productiveness in the language, especially in writing and speaking production. Unfortunately, teachers do not leave their comfort zone; rather, they continue teaching in the traditional way, using the textbook, lecturing long hours of grammar with no interactive activities in the classroom. For that reason, the investigators carried out the thesis project “A Proposal of an English Class Model Using all the Components of a Macro and Micro Lesson Plans to Enhance Eighth Grade Students' Speaking and Writing Production of Complejo Educativo Colonia Río Zarco during the Year 2020".

Creating real world scenarios when teaching Reading and Conversation in English II is crucial for improving students’ engagement, especially at the Western Multidisciplinary Campus of the University of El Salvador, where students of this subject are not so engaged in classes as it may be expected. Students are not engaged in classes and barely participate in the activities brought to the classroom; this was observed and measured through a diagnosis carried out by the research team that identified and described such problematic situation.

Noticing the need of improving our society in relation to the moral values, the MINED authorities have included those values in every school program for teachers, in turn, to implement such values explicitly and implicitly in every class. Therefore, it is necessary for all the teachers-on-duty as well as teachers-to-be to know exactly how to foment moral values by using the pedagogical proposals, Across the Curriculum. The research project presented in this report is a result of an effort to find easier ways for the English teachers specifically to instill in the learners moral values during the class.

This research study focuses on the problems and the effects on seventh graders caused by the poor teaching of English at public elementary school levels. This work presents the results of a whole research process to evaluate the necessity to incorporate the teaching of English in Salvadorian public elementary schools to help junior high school students overcome their English learning deficiencies.In order to find out information about the previously mentioned situation, researchers chose different schools of the urban area of Santa Ana where researchers observed and studied different variables concerning seventh graders and seventh grade teachers. Besides studying the variables related to the students, researchers also evaluated the current junior high school English teaching curriculum being used for teaching English to junior high school students.

The mother tongue has a great impact in the learning of a second language; such impact causes errors and mistakes in phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics patterns. This research is focused on written errors produced when composing. English Composition I is a subject designed to train students with writing skills in order to avoid composition problems in which errors are immersed. After having taken English Composition I as a primary basis, English Composition II students continue committing errors in their pieces of writing.

This qualitative study focuses on an Analysis of the Effects of the Changes Adopted in the 2002 Curriculum of the Licenciatura en Idioma en Inglés-Opción Enseñanza at the Western Multidisciplinary Campus. Therefore, the aim of this research study is to find out in what manner students’ low level of English affects them in their achievement when they take English Grammar I, English Pronunciation, English Composition I, Didactics of the English Language I, and Introductions to Linguistics. In addition, it intended to answer the research questions: How does students’ low level of English affect their progress when they take English Grammar I, Pronunciation I, English Composition I, and Didactics of the English Language I?, What are the effects in students’ learning progress when they take English Grammar I, English Pronunciation, English Composition I, and Didactics of the English Language I?, In what manner do these effects impinge upon students’ learning?, and How should the 2002 Curriculum be reorganized to fulfill students’ needs? The method applied by the researchers was the qualitative descriptive method, and the instruments administered to gather the data were three different questionnaires for students, one interview for each of the target subject teachers, one interview for the Coordinator of the Licenciatura en Idioma Inglés-Opción Enseñanza at the Main Campus, and two checklists for Didactics and Compositions classes.

Para algunos, la crisis del agua supone caminar a diario largas distancias para obtener agua potable suficiente, limpia o no, únicamente para salir adelante. Para otros, implica sufrir una desnutrición evitable o padecer enfermedades causadas por las sequías, las inundaciones o por un sistema de saneamiento inadecuado.

El presente trabajo de investigación es presentado al Departamento de Medicina de la Facultad Multidisciplinaria de Occidente de la Universidad de El Salvador, titulado: “Ablactación temprana y su relación con el desarrollo de enfermedades alérgicas respiratorias y gastrointestinales más frecuentes en niños entre las edades de 6 meses a 3 años en el período del 5 de julio al 17 de septiembre del año 2006 que consultaron en la Unidad de Salud de Cara Sucia, Ahuachapán”, siendo este el paso final de nuestro proyecto investigativo. Dentro de él se presentan los siguientes apartados: antecedentes mundiales y regionales sobre las enfermedades alérgicas respiratorias y gastrointestinales relacionadas con una ablactación temprana.

La educación sexual es un tema que debe ser desarrollado en todos los centros escolares del país, ya que, los docentes cuentan con metodologías que les permiten crear espacios apropiados en donde puedan transmitir la información que sea necesaria de una forma creativa, evitando causar pensamientos con doble sentido con el objetivo de generar un aprendizaje significativo en los niños, de modo que, con forme su crecimiento logren ponerlo en práctica y obtengan un buen desarrollo.
